Air Video HD. App Reviews

I have been using Air Video for many years and it is one of the best apps I have, but this new HD version is total rubbish by comparison. Right now I have both versions running and the new HD version stops, needs restarting, drops AirPlay etc every few minutes. If I switch back to the original version, the exact same file on the same hardware plays flawlessly through to the end. Dont get the HD version, its nowhere near as stable as the original.

An amazing app when it works. Perhaps the best app anywhere. However, Im having connection issues and numerous messages to developer for advice/assistance have gone unanswered after initial exchange and sending all requested screenshots and scripts.

Perfect balance of ease of use vs fine-grained control. This app solves all my problems for getting video to my Apple TV.

This is a new, slick app for those that use air server. My favorite feature is to download directly from the app without having to connect to stinkn iTunes.

Works fantastic. Ive owned the previous version and now this version. I also bought the Apple TV version for my 4th gen Apple TV. Works great ! I love the new downloading ability and the way it remembers remote connections. Keep improving the app!

Seriously worth it considering what you pay for a phone. -Why decide what to load with -This app its always available. -Chromecast option works great, need button on main menu to dc outside of that only frustration is deciding what to watch. -Phone call, text, close it and start playing where you left off. -No issues regardless if on wifi or not only signal loss issues not associated with app. -Each update, look at comments and you see they listen to their users feedback. !!Lastly, if your going to pay your carriers for data get an app that will deliver it!

I regret buying this app. It loads forever and I cannot view my video!

I love the app and feel like the price is an absolute steal. I have bee using Plex, also a great app. My only problem is probably my own. I have a gigantic library. Very close to 10,000 movies. With Plex and Air Video HD, the software tends to lock up while selecting a new movie. With both programs, this happens. With Air Video HD, the lockup are much fewer and the speed of loading seems much faster. The quality is very good and the setup was a breeze. Even short of perfection, this is a great app and I highly recommend it.

This is simply the absolute best streaming app available. I can throw any type of video at it and it plays back flawlessly, with no buffering whatsoever. Even if you are a casual streamer this is simply a must have app!

I upgraded to the iPad Pro and now the app doesnt connect to the server. It worked fine before I hope they release an update soon to fix this issue.

Its fine. But sometimes flakier than its standard def predecessor.

I wasted several hours of my life that I will never get back, trying to get this thing working. Im a software engineer, not a free beta tester. Im surprised this code even compiled and made it to the store.

Love this app the only improvement i can think of is to show metadata like movie cover and info. But thats all, its great even without the metadata stuff.
